Career Poster Campaign
The Work-Based Learning Department is sponsoring a poster campaign in the elementary schools to raise awareness of potential careers. Each poster uses pictures to highlight the career, what you may do in that career, as well as similar careers. Please take a moment to find the posters in your child's school and have a conversation with your student about potential careers.
Kid's Market Place
Each year 3rd graders across the district have the opportunity to participate in Kid's Market Place. Students are given a career and corresponding salary. They are then tasked with purchasing all of the items required for life while staying within their budget. Volunteers are placed at each station and help the students understand that it is important to make good choices and stay within their budget.
